about/manifest!

Working sculptural and interactive installation as well as video, Ethan Kiermiaer creates work which re-contextualizes the discrete data contained in our common experience.  He holds a BFA from the Studio for Interrelated Media at the Massachusetts College of Art and lives and works in Boston, Massachusetts and Rockport, Maine.

In recent years his work has taken him to Madagascar to design and document sustainable agriculture projects for the Madagascar Ankizy Fund and to numerous sites in Central America where he built sculptural houses and boats from found materials.  His work has been shown at screenings and galleries throughout New England, Valparaiso Chile, Buenos Aires Argentina and he has worked to curate new media documentary work for the Camden International Film Festival.
